I've heard many MANY tales of Jordan being a prick (some from my own friends in the industry or former fans of his) but I never had that experience with him. I met him once during his last concert run and once back in the NKOTB days. Both times he was a doll baby to me. I'm in the music business myself now and met his best friend Michael Africk via his webmaster at the time (who was a friend of mine). I was suppose to call up Africk at his recording studio to discuss possiblities of getting my album produced via his producer. Jordan was there and I actually got to talk to him briefly on the phone. He was extremely polite and friendly to me. So I feel really bad for him and can empathize so much, especially being a singer myself, seeing him hit this type of low. The biz is so fickle *sighs* It really is a much smaller community than most people realize and it is NOT easy. People make the mistake of thinking it is, but - trust me - it really isn't.
I think this happened because Jordan's label from a few years ago Interscope had some type of financial difficulties (possible bankruptcy??) and ended up being bought out or merged with Mercury/A&M Records. The result was a lot of acts getting dropped, shuffled around and shelved.
It looks like he's now with Transcon. Poor guy. If T-Con sounds familiar to you think NSYNC and BSB back in their heyday before Lou Pearlman got greedy with his fees and had to be brought to court by both groups. Since then T-Con has lost all its crediblity and most of its standing in the industry. I think the biggest act they have now is Aaron Carter (Ugh!).
It also doesn't help that this new album seems to be dedicated to a bunch of love songs - which aren't really popular in the mainstream right now... Although JK's voice is idealy suited for them tho!
And for those of you who keep telling Jordan he's too old (he's still in his 30's for God's sake!!) and to go find another job: get over yourselves and try to understand that music is his passion. If this is what he wants to do with HIS life, if this is what makes him happy, then who are you to judge? The guy DOES have talent! I'd like to see half the jerks reading this post right now hit the high notes JK can! Face it, the man HAS A VOICE! He's just having a rough time in the industry right now. But one thing I've learned about this business is it constantly changes. Jordan may be down right now, but don't count him out just yet!

This WalMart is like two blocks from my mom's house in Quincy, MA, which is right outside Boston. I was visiting her the night before he was there and had to run into WalMart to pick up a few things and there were huge banners outside announcing he would be there the next day. BTW, these other people you see are very stereotypical of the kind of people who shop at this particular WalMart (and, I imagine, every WalMart?) and this is the LEAST crowded I've ever seen it!
Danny Wood from NKOTB lived in this big house about two blocks from the house I grew up in (during the height of NKOTB fame) and there would always be swarms of girlies outside his house who came from OTHER COUNTRIES. IAnd on Halloween, his house would give out one tootsie roll per trick-or-treater.
Danny Wood's brother worked at the corner store and "hooked the store up" with autographed posters of his brother.

I have been to many of his shows and his still has the talent and the looks.
For those who are bitching on his ass are the ones who got turned down by Jordan. Just because he didn't give you what you wanted you decide that he's trash.
