My parents have no idea I ever tried drugs. Never even knew I was on an anti-depressant for a year. Unless you're a junkie, it's easy to hide the occasional drug use.

As soon as I heard "methadone," I knew it was no accident. If you are not a drug addict even a small amount can kill you. Of course, this mystery will never be solved - I'm sure the Bahamian police are taking major bribes to keep it a mystery. They're more corrupt than the LAPD!

Ok, here's what REALLY happened:
Daniel flew in from LA to see his mom and baby sister's birth. He was feeling jet-lagged and had trouble sleeping...(this is where Howard comes in). Howard says, "hey, try this, it'll help you sleep/feel better in no time". Howard gives him the methodone pill and he takes it. Minutes later, Daniel is re-acting badly to the methodone and Howard tells Anna that he gave it to Daniel, but he had no idea it would do that to him. Anna freaks and yells, "You did this to him!!". The hospital employees overhear this.
Days later, Howard convinces a paranoid Anna (while she is in a drug-induced haze by the tranqs given to her because of grief over Daniel's death)to marry him to prevent not only her testifying against him (spouses can't testify against each other by law in the Bahamas) for Daniel's accidental murder, but so that she can keep Larry Birkhead away from taking away the only baby she has left. She obliges because of the paranoia of losing yet another child. Howard continues to keep her medicated so that they could get married, he can get away from a manslaughter charge, and that Anna can finally keep her baby so that everyone is happy (except of course, Daniel).
This is a really tragic story, and someone needs to save Anna from Howard's slimy clutches. Someone needs to get her away from him!
She's gonna have Daniel stuffed and cart him around in a sturdy, yet fashionable, duffle bag.

This was an accidental interaction between drugs that was unexpected and unprecedented. It wasn't a poisoning or a deliberate overdose.

I have always thought that Howard had an unhealthy obsession with Anna. I don't think he deliberatly harmed Daniel, though. I honestly doubt he had knowledge of drug interactions between antidepressants and methadone. (BTW, why was Daniel on 2 different antidepressants?)
It is a fucked up situation, with her son still laying at the funeral home a month after his death, but really-would we expect anything less from this train-wreck that is Anna Nicole?
Bottom line is that ANS shouldn't be allowed to HAVE children. She has horrific judgement, and is on the looney side. Someone (maybe Howard)should take the baby AWAY from her and have her committed.

Well if Howard did it Anna knows about it and doesn't want to testify against him. I feel that the quicky marriage if that is what it was has more to do with Daniel than either of them. Who ever is guilty wants to quiet the other one. I personally suspect it was an accident and suspect Anna as much as Howard since I don't see anyone marrying someone who accidently or otherwise harms or kills their child.
The whole situation is suspect. I wouldn't be surprised if Howard caused this boy's demise.

The methodone was prescribed to Daniel in LA for a back problem he was being treated for. Have you not recently seen the reports about doctors prescribing Methadone for pain and three or four days later some patients stop breathing due to it. This was an unfornate RX mixup and the drug companies should be sued for their pushing this drug onto drs as a pain reliever. There have been several hundred deaths in the past two years for this very cause. Now there is a national known person that died because of this. Now maybe this will stop be used for pain.
Also Nancy Grace is a slime ball that diserves to be taken off the air. If someone goes on her show they have absolutely NO credit and any comment should be disreguarded.

Yeah. I think Daniel got hold of the meth AFTER he came to the hospital. Everything that has occured since, "wedding, no funeral, no contact, etc" was done to cover up the meth connection.
A nurse was supposed to have said that Anna Nicole had methdone in her possession.
Murder? No. Not intentional anyway. But all of their actions and reactions since his death seem to indicate a high level of panic between Howard and Nicole.

Methodone prescribed for back pain is HIGHLY unlikely, unless you have a massive and severe back injury/pain. I really doubt his doctor prescribed it for him...
Anna might be in denial about his death and in a weird way is trying to avoid the final step of burying him.

Exactly! I had three thoughts when I read this post and you guys have covered all of them. 1. This mother is a sleazy and just wants in on the cash. 2. Daniel's funeral hasn't taken place yet? Strange... 3. ANS & Howard didn't actually wed, did they? So what's up with the comments about husband and wives testifying against each other? Personally, I think Daniel has not been buried yet because ANS is in deep denial that he's actually dead. I'm sure she's been medicated within an inch of her life since his death. I'm not sure what's up with HKS but he didn't kill Daniel. If he's guilty of anything it's catering to ANS's every whim, and that includes pretending her kid isn't dead and medicating her so she doesn't have to face it.
I hope I'm not the only one who saw the photo of Virgie and Daniel and just cannot believe how white trash these people are. I don't even care about the death/mystery/etc. anymore...I'm just in awe of every stereotype of poor white trash coming to life in that photo.

I think the reason she hasn't had a funeral/burial yet, is that is will send her over the top and she knows it! She can't bear to put her son in the ground, and she can't bear to admit he is dead.
If there is not funeral/burial, then one doesn't have to deal with the fact that they lost their loved one. The poor woman is in a drug-induced haze and can't think properly.
She needs to snap out of it, get some mental maturity and deal with the reality of her son's (a wonderful son at that) passing. Painful it IS, but life isn't fair and she needs to learn how to deal!
This is precisely why we decided to haul our three kids to the vet when it was time to put our old, ailing beloved dog down. I told my husband (who was protesting) that this is how you TEACH kids how to deal properly with death.......subject them to it, let them see it, let them cry about it, accept it, and then let them move on. We were all there surrounding our Bulldog with love when the vet put him to sleep. If you don't teach people at a young age how to handle death.......then when they get older they will be self-medicating and doing a swan-dive into an "Absolute" vodka bottle or a Bong, when faced with it.
Now ANS is incapable of dealing with ANYTHING in her life, as she is SO GD medicated for everything.

In that list included xanaxs,klonopin,100 mg zoloft to be taken 3 times a day,and other assorted depression medications. o___o She WAS a walking zombie,then again she was technically doctor shopping seeing two different docs at the same time. Perhaps his doctor was stupid or maybe he was self medicating? Then again HKS seems slimy enough to be involved some way...

Yep. I was talking to my mom last night, who works with special needs children. She's at her wits end about what she's seeing done to those children. And yes, many of them -- little kids -- are on MULTIPLE anti-depressants and other drugs at the same time.

Don't be glib, Nita! I agree with you to a degree.....But don't you think also that the problem with depression medication is that it is not an exact science? There are no blood tests to determine the amounts of drugs needed and exactly which drug is best. Unfortunately it is really hit and miss until you get it right.
Hopefully, people are going to be smart enough to try things one at a time, rather than a bunch of drugs all at once. But then, I'm not a medical professional. I do, however, have a bi-polar child. His teachers insisted I put him on ADHD drugs. Well, we tried several different drugs (in sequence, not at the same time) and they didn't *quite* work. (But is focus was better!) Ultimately he stayed up for five nights straight(he was 10 at the time) and we switched to something different. Wellbutrin, actually. It has been a miracle for our family, but especially for him. And furthermore I don't consider him over-drugged because we are not at a point where he needs lithium type drugs. Our team shows restraint in that regard. So, no, I don't think there is a scam going on. Parents have to take it into their own hands and get spend the money to get a proper diagnosis from psychologists who specialize in children---rather than just take the drugs their pediatricians throw at their kid. So yes I'd agree that pediatricians hand out too many drugs. But it's not a "scam" it's simply that mental health is not their field of expertise. Sorry for the long post, but I am a HUGE advocate of getting children proper help. I agree with you, except I think ANS has alot more to do with this than most people seem to think.
I felt sorry for her at first, but then I read that she sold photos of her dead son to a tabloid for $400,000. And then this whole commitment ceremony thing. . . something is definitely fishy.
