Gravatar I thought about you yesterday--this girl at work was telling me about how there are women who have their pinky toe surgically removed so that they can wear those super-pointy shoes. Crazy, huh? I won't even touch shoes that are uncomfortable, and it's certainly not worth losing a pinky over. Barefoot is definitely best.

Gravatar What a wonderful, beautiful post! Honestly, I've never thought that much about feet, but I will now. I do like my feet - moreso because my husband hates feet, but thinks mine are perfect.

I would rather go barefoot myself.

Thank you so much for the prize! This is my first blog win, and I'm so glad I entered. Email coming.

Gravatar That's beautiful mim. Feet are the best unshod...either in nice socks or nothing all all. Naked as a Jay Bird Thanks for celebrating feet and the human body in general. It's a good thing.

Gravatar I love all that you had to say about feet. I'm glad I entered. I think I'll edit my entry to link back to your commentary.

Gravatar We take our little feeties for granted. Love the picture of you and your feet

Gravatar Love the post about feet! Made me look at mine in a totally new light. =)

Gravatar What a truly beautiful post. Your soul must shine. I truly hate feet, but now I have a grudging respect for them. Thank you for sharing.

Gravatar Oh I was touched by your words. Nobody ever takes care of its feet but wthout them we would be nothing, nearly.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Sibylle

Gravatar Face it, dude; it's a fetish.

A feetish?

Oh shut up.

*g*

Gravatar feetish reminds me, here's another one for good measure: turns out i had lotsa foots picts already up. this ones from earlier this summer's trip to new orleans blog :[

am i weird? feets don't fail me.

Gravatar blogiversary homework: Now tell everyone what has been learned about each person through the feet pics

That was fun. Feet are great. How can women have a thing for shoes, yet hate feet? Maybe that's why so many are so willing to wear uncomfortable shoes. Or maybe they hate feet because they have only experienced uncomfortable shoes.

I think you're awsome for several reasons, doing so much canning is now one of them.

Gravatar I hate shoes too - they make my poor feet sweat!
I was trained as a ballet dancer too - I think that's why I think my feet are ugly - they never fully recovered from all that trauma!

Gravatar I know it's too late for the contest, that's cool, but I just posted some feet pics for you.

I didn't wear shoes for three summers in a row. I spent too much time growing up in shoes that were too small, I couldn't breathe.

I started toe at age 10 because my feet stopped growing early. I miss it terribly ... It was definitely my favorite!

Gravatar this was interesting to read; a good friend of mine was a professional dancer and because of her time in toe shoes she strongly dislikes feet. (we were in a ballet class in college together (me at the beginners end, her at the "advanced" end!) and we heard a lot about how much of a beating her feet took with the long hours of dancing. At one point she was thinking about plastic surgery for her feet because they bothered her so much.

I like feet, but don't like mine very much - my toes as short and my feet are long and narrow, but they do hold me up.

Gravatar What a beautiful, thoughtful post. Yay for feet!

I had fun attempting to get that pic and fun posting the article. I luv my feet, despite them not being attractive (or as attractive as they used to be). But bare foot is the best, bay-be!

Gravatar Beautiful post Miriam...thank you .

Gravatar lovely photo, mim

Gravatar I loved reading this and seeing your attitude towards being barefoot

Gravatar Nice feet! I think women's feet are sexy, and I love the "I've been going barefoot a lot" look. Like yours have!
Don't know why I have a foot fetish, but I do. And, living in Florida does have its barefoot rewards!!!
