You've been busy! Thanks for the links, bookmarked both the yarn (great colors!) and the shawl pins.

Hey, I just finished a pair of socks made of JaWoll. It's nice stuff!
If you're insane, you could always just weave in the heel thread with a needle. That would be fun, right?
I thought your shawl looked really nice, and it will be even schnazzier with the pin!

Thank you for the shawl pin link. I've been looking for a simple yet well pin, and that might do the trick.
A new shawl pattern? Yay!!! But don't overdo it and feel better soon!!

You aren't alone in forgetting the Jawoll reinforcement thread! I've done it too! I can't wait to see this scarf, those colors are gorgeous!

I love the yarn - such nice colors!
I'd never known what that little spool of yarn inside the skein was for - oops! I probably never would have if I hadn't read your post today

You have inspired me to put a shopping bag on my list; nice to show the yarn softens up once washed. I really like the shawl pin, but had my friend Leslie, who really should have a jewelry website, make me one in hammered copper, with a nice green glass bead, last fall.

Leslie's amazing, isn't she? I have her woman warrior necklace, and she engraved a rune for luck on the back for me, to help me be brave for my upcoming surgery. She's such a sweetie.
That pile o' yarn is gorgeous...

I've never used that reinforcing thread either. I've never been particularly hard on my heels and toes of my socks (although my bf is), so I've yet to do it. I loved reading about the crewel wool, very interesting yarn to use for the shawl. I'm glad it was a great choice. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the scarf pattern.
