At A Moments Notice...
Ah the GOLDEN GIRLS...my father discovered them first and we would tease him about watching them "four old white women!" He'd chuckle but never would he defend his viewing choice. One Friday, when the weather did not permit anyone going anywhere, we reluctantly sat down with Dad and watched the four old white women...and were hooked for years!
And what do you mean "have sex?!" I'm still in this drought--I mean celibate!...going on 10 mos!!!

I'm with you, I'm glad the rush of Christmas is over as well.
For the Golden Girls, contrary to what I wrote on my blog, I do love the Golden Girls and my mother always teases me as well, "you just love watching those little 'ole white ladies, don't you?"...
We're from the same lineage, so you know I've been told about the Christmas tree coming down b4 New Years, but guess what? I'm too tired to take it down now. And of course, I've heard about the dirty laundry thingy too... OLD WIVES TALES...

I have never been able to get into the Golden Girls and have been called everything but a child of God because of it. Maybe it's just me...I dunno. Don't get me wrong; individually, the ladies are funny, but as a whole, it just comes off as deadpan. Then again, my sense of humor is macabre at best.
BTW; I'm in NYC until Monday. So like, drop me the digits before I have to hunt you down, 'mmkay? Thanks!

lets see our tree is STILL up... but my argument is that its fake, so any bad luck it will generate, will itself be fake, so I am not concerned...

I just got the Golden Girls DVD also... It's the best collection since the 227 DVD came out... I love that Dorothy picture.

oh yeah. a classic joint. excellent writing, perfectly cast w/ on-target esemble acting. my faves alternated between dorothy & sophia. loved bea's deadpan zingers & estelle was killa. in fact, i didn't hate blanche or rose either. you know they originally wanted *betty whit*e to play blanche, right? woulda been interesting. but rue REALLY thought her azz was mad sexy, so it worked. classic joint. you'e not alone, chris. ;-)

Well let me just say that back in the day I did the whole washing the clothes thing, I blew off all the tales and guess what - each year someone really close to me died. You are washing clothes for the dead. Whether its just fate or whatever I believe in it.
