At A Moments Notice...

Gravatar I liked Breaking All The Rules for some reason but you are right the story line is something that has been done before. Stepford Wives never really tickled my fancy so I never indulged and as far as DodgeBall it was cool. Me, myself not really a movie theater or a big DVD buff cause lets face it there are not to many movies currently being released that are good.

Gravatar Im too much of a workaholic [read:procrastinator] to watch movies at home. I really like going to the theater and seeing them on that big big screen. I also like going on a wednesday night when no one is really in the theater --either that or go see one at the DIC [Prime & Ej's house].

I dont know if you saw these, but RAY and THE INCREDIBLES, were my last thumbs way up flicks. I've seen THE POLAR EXPRESS which was "nice" for the season. It had me on edge a few times but was slightly over indulgent but not in that fun, exciting way. The CGI was a bit...pompous if you will, not subtle and endearing like toy story, but more like "look at what we can do!"

Before that I think I saw WHITE CHICKS which had us dying, but you have to suspend your belief a little.

One black movie I LOVE because the story is so different and it was told in such a great way is TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME. It does have Morris, Gabby and Anthony A. but the award goes to Vivica and her stellar performance breaking down that fourth wall. And funny!? Laughing out loud in the first five minutes! Own that one!

I'm too cheap to buy so many DVDs and I wont watch them that often. I have a few old stuff, rare stuff and gay stuff. That's about it.
