The same thing happened to me about a year ago. I was completeley devestated by the words and thoughts I lost. But there will be more words. More thoughts. Simply, greatly more. My laptop crashed a few months ago. I lost about 4 years worth of financial data. Luckily it was my secondary computer. My Main Computer is a Macintosh G4. It has gone thru hell and highwater. Its been nicca-rigged and patched together, refitted and reborn and is probably on its last computation too. But what you had probably was virus related, which isn't a big issue for Macs. I suggests you switch...
