I commend you for choosing to take such an amazing journey. It is so rare that any of us choose to even try to discover ourselves, our callings, our missions, our passions - us. Walk on and enjoy the leaves.

This is such a good post. I'm not as aware about things as you are, but I definitely can fall into people pleasing when I put on an event or do anything that is meant for the public.

i enjoyed that post....i often find myself in the same position articulated wtihin this post....i find myself, almost daily, asking myself where i am at in relation to the whole picture, and whether i am making adequate progress...i tell myself everyday that i need to drop the bad habits i have and grab life by the horns and make it submit to my will.....i have yet to do that...and the reason is the same that you mentioned in this piece....
there is nothing worse than knowing that you are destined for greatness but to live most of your youthful life questioned your efforts toward reaching that progress, and always seem them as never enough....there will always be something to refine.....

You TRULY got me with this ... I want to read aloud to every single person that walks into my apartment. I want to call my mother, my father, my brother ... my best friend ... and leave it on their voicemail. I want to send this via email to the guy that I dumped "via email" because sometimes I get "hollywood" ... I was rasied in LA.
I LOVE Alanis. I recently discovered her lyrics through business ... I now work with her and I NEVER knew that she was this profound. At 19 years old she sold 30 million albums ... it was her US debut. It's beyond obvious that she speaks for most of us.
I will remember this post for a LONG time.
