I'm with you. I hate crappy customer service. I'm fortunate to be good pals with my luthier. (he is speed dial 9 on my phone!) I've walked out of several places when the person in the Useless Lackey position tries to pretend that they are Person In Charge. (Yet Highly Clueless)
My dog likes Helicore strings, whereas I use Evah Pirazzi. 
If I use Evahs I have to change them, like, 9 times a year. I'm not even really exaggerating. They sound sooooo good at first, but then they have a falling out with my rosin and next it's the bow in general and pretty soon they can't get along with my poor instrument at all.
I've gone back to the ol' dominants with a Jarger A one-two punch. It's a little bright, but it's reliable and I can get at least a few months out of them.
