Why, I remember once, waaay back when, commenting to you that you always seemed happy.
That was when we were first dating, if I remember correctly. (You didn't like the comment then, either.)
Since then, I've come to realize that, generally, I'm a happier person then you. So pppppppppttt!! 
(BTW, if someone told me that I seemed like a generally happy person, I'd take it as a compliment. Life is, for all of its troubles, good.)
On further thought, maybe you were a happier person then.
Then you met me, and we got married. Hmmmmm.....
