Gravatar miriam, you are at a loss of about the events in Israel, then just leave it alone. The underlying leftist direction of this blog is tiresome, disappointing and pardon me stupid.

Gravatar nu so don't read it.

Gravatar This blog is running commentary on the MSM. We know virtually nothing about the author of this blog. I come back every day to see if Paul posted anything and to see if Miriam decides to write about herself instead of yapping about another article in Jpost.

Gravatar i'm considered right wing and i found it funny...

Gravatar I'm feelin' the love.....

Gravatar Speaking about the cartoon, the other day I saw a car parked outside my apartment with a blue bumper sticker w/ the slogan "Yehudi Lo Megeresh Tailandi" (A Jew Doesn't Expel a Thailander). I suspect it was commentary about foreign workers but I found it kind of amusing.

Gravatar It's a very funny cartoon, no matter what your opinion is regarding disengagement. A shame Mr. Atlas doesn't see it.

Gravatar Tsemach: here I am. Alas, I cannot control my daughter - gave up round about 1980.... But I'm very proud of her. What is "MSM"?????

Gravatar Tzemach, I found your comment quite rude. If it's so disappointing to come here and constantly find Miriam "yapping", then why do you? I, for one, find Miriam's postings to be far from "yapping", but a great commentary on Jewish current events.

Gravatar Paul and Miriam - Although not as sophisticated as my favorite blog, Hirhurim, I still think Bloghead is awesome. Keep up the great work.

Gravatar MSM=Main Stream Media. I think the blogs are there to supplant the MSM. There are others like Drudge or Instapundit who are just linking services. But to have a blog that is a commenting service for the articles in the MSM is contrary to what I think the blog is. In addition there is a wall that separates Miriam's personal life from what she writes. The result is this dry narrative lacking in emotion and intensity.

I only say this because the talent is obvious but I wish we have seen more about Miriam and less about some articles in Haaretz.

Gravatar That's a much nicer way of saying it.

Gravatar I don't know. Who is Miriam? Is she a newspaper reader? Because it robs in and you often end up with main stream thinking, and there is some evidence of it right here.

You can’t have it both ways. You either become a reporter in a regular newspaper or you become a blogger. If one want to be blogger that you have to show feelings instead yapping about Pope.

Gravatar I disagree, Tzemach. Miriam may not tell us about her personal life, but I certainly think that her comments show her feelings on the topics she posts about. You may not like her feelings, or you may feel that, as you say, "The underlying leftist direction of this blog is tiresome, disappointing and pardon me stupid." But that doesn't excuse your characterization (twice) of her as "yapping".

Gravatar Sorry for yapping. Talent reduced to being derivative. Better? Who cares about Guardian, J. Post, etc. What do YOU feel and think Miriam?

Gravatar Sorry Tzemach, but the 8 million blogs out there fulfill many different functions -- some are personal, some are not. This one, on the whole, isn't, that's the way I like it, and apparently that's the way hundreds of readers each day like it too. This blog reflects my real interest in current affairs and the Jewish world -- and my often quite strong feelings about them, as Orthomom said. If it's not offbeat enough for you, or if you're not interested in the topics I post about, there are plenty of Jewish blogs out there you might enjoy more -- that's the beauty of the blogosphere (although we always appreciate your readership and comments and would be sorry to lose you).

Gravatar This is another response without soul. Get a job in newspapers; they will welcome your generic, bland and pedestrian musings. But know fully well that you are wasting your talents.

Gravatar P.S. Its not offbeat, its inbeat of your heart that is not on this site.

Gravatar 'The inbeat of my heart,' as you put it, is expressed elsewhere. That's not what this blog is about for me -- and not everything one does has to be about their deepest feelings.

Gravatar writing that's worth a dime is inbeat. If you openly separate yourself from inbeat then that explains why your comments are always remaining only on the surface of every issue. And their plenty of surface readers for that. But this is not about the Jews no matter how much you write about the subject. Jews are inbeat.

Gravatar this blog is gone for me
