If your going to get upset about people wasting health care dollars, how about the homeless?
They deliberatetly get hit by city busses and then treat the hospital like a spa and hotel. They mostly just come in for medications (read: pain drugs), then go out and get high for the rest of the day.
Then, their friends steal scrubs from the hospital laundry and steal from our supply rooms and other patients.
They abuse the staff, scare the crap out of other patients, and divert valuable time from people who need care a lot more.
So, you really want to get your shit in a knot because someone wants a sex change in the govenment dime? Save your indination for the real leeches.
I think I can summon the power to be pissed at the gov't for wanting to sanction this sex change bullshit and have enough anger left over to be pissed at the homeless for sucking the system dry.
