Let's hear from youse!

Gravatar He's starting to "refine" a lot of things including my enthusiasm about the upcoming election.

Gravatar bought and paid for...where do you think all of his $$$ came from...the web?

Actually though, just packing up and leaving is not a very good idea.

We are too used to the GWB -I'll never change my opinion on anything- way of thinking.I think a man with flexable opinions is a good thing....think JFK's views on civil rights.

I was a Hillary man,now I am for Obama..

I think that he'll make a great president.

Gravatar It's like the "shape shifters". I have had that "bad taste" in my mouth for some time, but I will probably "have" to vote for Obama, although I am not enamoured one bit.

We were just discussing this very topic, at the coffee shop yesterday, and I am still not won over by this guy or any of his rhetoric. I know that I may be forced to vote for him because I can not handle another 4 years of "more-of-the-same" or politics as usual. Right now there is nothing that he is talking about that I can get solidly behind and say that I think that he is the guy 100%.

Just because he is a Democrat doesn't mean that you accept one because the other is now out. I have to have solid material, a solid base, before I fall for all of the "change yadda-yadda-yadda" and throw myself at his feet.

Gravatar We used to havea cocker spanial named Bridget. She lived 16 years until we had to put her to sleep. She was a good dog.Cut to six months later...at the Marysville pound we found a nine month old cocker. We call her Millie. At firsr, she was so different from Bridget we ccould not accept her for her own good qualities.Only when we realized that we had to accept Millie for Millie did we relize what a great dog Millie was.

The lesson being,my padawa, that we bitch about Bush being stubborn and unmoving, and then we bitch about Obama being able to change his view....or better put, being able to refine his point of view.

I fine Obama refreshing in his ability to connect with the people.

The media has to find something to fill up the empty spaces-don't believe half of it.

Gravatar Of course, Obama knows that we have nowhere else to go. It will remain that way as long as progressives are afraid of another Nader debacle.

Gravatar It's that time where everyone moves to the middle. Guess McCain will be moving to the right then, eh?

Obama has said he's 'not politics as usual' but for some reason, he seems just like the rest. Closed door meetings, shifting positions after the nomination, saying one thing to one group and then something a bit different at another.

He's just like the rest if you ask me. Just because you can market a product better, it doesn't mean the product is better.

Gravatar Frznagn,

Excellent point!! I could not agree more about the "product" Obama. Just because he is shinier and the newest model and when you pull his string he says cooler stuff doesn't make him the best new thing on the market. Although doesn't everyone like to tell you just that.

Gravatar We have to be careful in the game of politics. This is not the time to try out something new and untested/unproven. I'd like to have someone in office that I know more about. If it were between Hillary and McCain, I'd have a real hard time deciding between the two.

But Obama? Way too unknown.

Voting 'Present' sounds like something Dan Quayle would do and be mocked endlessly for! But for some odd reason, the msm ignores these golden nuggets. One of the things that scares me the most is that the media isn't doing their job in questioning the candidates. If the msm doesn't want to say anything bad about Obama now, how will it be if he gets into office? Can you imagine how messed up it would be (or ticked off you would be) if the msm never reported anything bad that Bush has done? You'd be livid! Imagine the msm in Bush's pocket, and a Republican controlled Senate/House. They would be unstoppable. That's what we're facing with Obama.

Wasn't that one of the problems before we went to war with Iraq? Didn't someone in the media say that they didn't do their job in questioning Bush before the war? It seems like they're repeating history.

Too much power and not enough oversight. It's not a good mix for our country as a whole.

Sure, I've got an 'R' on my voter's registration, but I don't always vote my party. I vote for the best person. One of these days I'll change it to 'I'.

Gravatar The MSM has been in Bush's pocket for the past seven years.

Mixter

Gravatar Not with all those leaks in the press. No way, no how. Too much bad press to believe that.

Gravatar Not NEARLY enough bad press, from the beginning! The American people should be WAY more outraged than they are; that's for sure.

Mixter

Gravatar It totally amazes me how complacent people are. No one is outraged, just a handful, and no one seems to talk about how wrong things are. Just groups of bloggers and a small amount of coffee shop folks.

Gravatar And most of the big-time bloggers have gone in the tank as well.

Gravatar outrage fatigue perhaps?
