I don't blame you for hating politics. It's so annoying and frustrating so much of the time. But please consider the idea that by paying some attention to politics, you can feel slightly less powerless about issues that scare you, like the economy.
I happen to like the socially and economically libertarian perspective of Reason magazine, so naturally I'll recommend that source to you.
