Gravatar So show up. It's only a one hour drive from Moscow. We have spectators driving from Seattle which is a six hour drive.

Be there by 10:00 on Sunday, April 30 for the opening fireball.

Or if you want to see the explosives being made let me know and show up on Friday or Saturday.

Gravatar I just may have to. I never was very interested in shooting guns or hunting (it sounds wet and cold and I'd rather pay someone to do it for me), but this strikes me as a very constructive use for a tool that is, you know, usually used for killing.

Gravatar Boomershoot is often wet and cold too. Seems we frequently get bad weather for some reason. But at least you can watch from your car and keep warm and dry if you want.

If you hasn't seen it yet you should see this video.

It's a common misconception that guns are usually used for killing. I've fired about 100,000 rounds since I bought my first gun in '95. Last fall I went hunting for the first time and killed a deer which was the first thing killed by any of those 100,000 shots fired. While my experience probably isn't typical (most gun owners hunt more than I do) the vast majority of the roughly 10 billion bullets sold in the US each year are not used to kill or injury anyone or anything.

You would be most welcome to attend Boomershoot or any of the other recreational gun activities in the area. If firearms are a topic of interest to you it would help to have some first hand information to help educate you on the subject.

Gravatar "Unfortunately, there was very little left of the deer for barbecuing save a front right hoof and half an antler. After marinating for over a week in brine, spices and battery acid, then cooked at low heat over mesquite, the hoof was delicious."

Gotta admit, that's a great picture. Reminds me of the old SCTV skit, "may the good Lord take a liking to ya, and blowed ya up real soon!"
