Mr. Twistie and I were just shy of our seventh anniversary when he had his triple bypass. Last month, we celebrated fifteen years of happy marriage. We've dealt with illness, financial disaster, deaths in the family, and all manner of more minor inconveniences. I find a good dose of adversity now and again only strengthens our comittment to one another.
All the same, here's hoping you two don't face anything this big for a very long time to come. You've earned a rest.

My husband's triple bypass was at almost 20 years of marriage. It was empowering, in a horrifying way, to realize we could survive such adversity together.
I'm with Twistie in hoping you get a break on that front for a bit.
