Those are amazing moments, particularly for PDs due to their rarity. Outstanding!
Most of us have had the odd acquittal here and there, but in a case like that...I can't imagine how it must feel!

The networks need to keep the G happy -- which means always leaning more toward the government than the citizens it rules. They want juries to be instruments of the government, not protectors of the citizens.

I would think that in this day and age of the government blurring our civil liberties, a show about public defenders campaigning for the protections under the Constitution would be a hit! Damn the man!

A slight update on this story: an alternate juror, having read the verdict in the paper, found this lawyer's email address and emailed to congratulate her on the verdict! I took a screen shot of the email, blew it up, and taped it on her door. She rocks!!!
