Talk Back to Scholar Here... Civil discourse required, but we value clarity over agreement.

hello-
as a department, and as an individual, we at eagan high school support "standards in general" to standardize some areas of historical curriculum requirements. however, and i was clear to point this out to the committee, we did not support the standards proposal as worded before the committee at that time, and we do not support the current draft either because of the many concerns that have been addressed before. so, the characterization of my testimony is inaccurate on your website.
for the record, i, and most teachers, support standards as a whole.
however, that's a far cry from supporting "these" standards, if you
understand what i mean. please change your interpretation of my testimony to accuraely reflect what i atually said before the committee.
sincerely,
jason sellars
