Gravatar Wal Mart is the worst. I remember making the comment when they started rolling out the Christmas lights and whatnot. This was well before Halloween. Now you can't find large coats or some winter supplies and it is three days into winter, with three months left????

I hate that company. I shop there anyway.

Gravatar Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, moehawk!!!!

Gravatar Hey, moehawk! We had THE best Christmas! My family (the one that basil belongs to) decided we didn't want to do the traditional gift giving this year, but we did want to exchange gifts. (I know, I know...sounds ridiculous, doesn't it, and rather like an oxymoron.) Anyway, we solved the problem by limiting the amount we could spend on gifts to $1.00. We could (and did) include free stuff. Like I gave everybody a funeral home fan. You know, the kind you use in the summertime to keep the gnats away. It was a hoot. And we gave each other left over shampoo from hotel stays... and pens from the bank, refrigerator magnet from the drug store, calendar from the funeral home, key ring from another bank. That kind of stuff. It was hilarious. I gave my sisters makeup bags that came free when I bought makeup. We have never laughed so hard or enjoyed a Christmas more. WE are going to have the $1 Christmas again next year.
I had a significant birthday this week, too, and it was lots and lots of fun. You probably saw the announcement on basil's site. sigh...

2005 ended pretty well, and I look forward to 2006.
Happy New Year, moehawk!

Gravatar hey, Big Sis (who's 5'4")!

thanks for stopping by! glad you had a good Christmas! the dollar limit could actually be a good idea to fight the rampant commercialization of the celebration of the birth of the son of God.

or, just a way that people can have fun, and still pay bills when Christmas is done!

hope to hear from you soon!

Gravatar How are you enjoying your Magic Bullet?

Gravatar Big Sis (who is 5'4"):

works great!

lots of power for a small size base, easy to clean, too!

grinds spices very well, and washes out much better than a regular grinder, so when i grind coffee in it, it doesn't taste like last week's barbecue spice mix.

nothing worse than absentmindedly grabbing the coffee mill instead of the spice mill to grind spices in....takes weeks to get all the unwanted flavor out of your coffee!

and, by the way, thanks for asking, and for continuing to visit my poorly neglected little blog! hope to post something funny soon.
