that's the sad part, sigma rho pa naman is a brotherhood of lawyers ans some are even judges taked to uphold justice. tapos sila pa ang nangunguna sa injustice!

either we, as a people, suffer from (voluntary) short-term memory, or there are just sooo many injustices going on na they're just too many to remember. either way, that has to be changed.

It is unfortunate that in a case like Cris Mendez's, it is such an uphill battle in our country to obtain closure. Especially if the people to be charged are scions of wealthy families. Their lawyers would often resort to any of the following 3 options: (1) delaying tactics; or (2) bribing the justice; or (3) both of the options mentioned.
Nakakainis talaga. You don't even hear a single peep from any politician about this issue. No pressure is being put to bear on the authorities to resolve the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.

we must have been so jaded by similar, or even more severe, injustices that we just forget the whole thing after a while. sad but true. it's a common thing in phil society ngayon.

ang nakakainis pa is that sigma rho is a fraternity of lawyers (mostly). many of its members are now high-ranking politicians, gov't officials, judges. that's why it's so easy to cover up such an incident.
