Gravatar itots:

Thanks. He he. Walang magawa, binura ko nga comments!

Gravatar I'm now running chrome okay naman sya, darn mabilis nga talaga :D

Gravatar http://notnews.today.com/2008/09...me-web-browser/ - This is all paid for by personally-directed text ads in your tea leaves, based on analysing a DNA sample taken when you sip the tea and sending your genetic code back to Google for future targeting.

Gravatar I downloaded Google Chrome as soon as I saw the link was up, and for the first few hours it had slow start up speeds and would take a while to connect to websites...
By now, however, Chrome starts faster on my machine than Internet Explorer 7, IE7x64, Firefox, and Minefield- so I am very impressed. It also loads pages almost instantly, and cleverly prioritizes actual page content over stuff from other sites (Like ads) so you get the page first, then you get all the fluff after.
I was wondering, as my browsing experience kept getting better and better as the day went on, whether Google was pushing updates out silently- and apparently they are. According to the EULA, they reserve the right to update Chrome on your machine whenever they want, and given the multi-process nature of Chrome they are able to patch it while you are running it, and new tabs get the upgrades.
Overall, I'm very impressed. I'd say other than it not having addons (which I'm sure Google will fix soon) the browser is release quality already.

Gravatar rhyan:

Gravatar I love the concept of separating the browser tabs into their own processes. It does make for fantastic crash prevention, and allows me to leave my 'browser' open for longer, since closing a tab actually frees up that memory.

However, I've found that opening a new tab by middle- or ctrl-clicking a link opens the subsequent tab within the process of the original tab. This discovery occurred last night when I had 5 tabs fail on me at the same time due to a hung script in one.

Clicking a link from an external source or manually opening a new tab seem to be the only ways to create a new process - two methods that encompass only about 30% of my tabbed-browsing habits (I'm a link-based creature. YMMV)

Will be interesting to see where this goes.

Gravatar koresho:

Thanks for that input. We have downloaded it on our other PC at home and it's very impressive, really fast too.

I saw that post by Eula as well but I hope that Google doesn't sneak in any other tricks other than updates.

Gravatar j dubs:

Like Koresho said in the previous comment, Google seems to be slipping updates as we use it. Expect more improvements soon.

Gravatar Wake me up when it gets adblock. A browser with ads is a broken browser.

Gravatar jemoo:

That's one thing I noticed too, the ads. Google should have postponed putting them on the Chrome to avoid turning off some users this early.

Gravatar J Dubs - have you tried right-clicking the links and picking "open in new tab?" That's what I do, and it seems to be starting a new process for me.

Gravatar I just got this news about the download being available for Google Chrome Browser. I will check it out and let you all know about my initial reactions.

Happy surfing with Google Chrome Browser Download

Gravatar wow, i will never read this blog again because of your rediculous favicon, congrats

Gravatar histrion:

Thanks for that tip. I haven't encountered any problem as j dubs but I'll try your tip when I do. Thanks again.

Gravatar sphurty:

I didn't download the Chrome at first, waiting for the reviews to come in. But since most of the reviews were favorable, I downloaded it in our spare PC, not the one I usually use just to be on the safe side. he he.

Gravatar favico:

If a small favicon that is not even 1/1000th of the size of the whole screen annoys you, than I don't need you here! Good riddance!

Gravatar That flashing "favicon" is pretty nifty but I think conventional is better in this case.

Cheers!

Stephan

Gravatar I installed Google Chrome and I must say that it's a lot faster than my firefox 3. I haven't tried running apps yet, but I read that you can actually run apps on the browser itself.

Gravatar stephan whener:

Thanks for the advice Stephan. I actually like it, it's something different though others find it tacky. I may replace it some day after I've found a more suitable one (and not because some of my uptight readers complain about it).

Gravatar pinay celebrity:

I haven't tried running apps too. I just tried if it was really as fast as thay say it is. But I'm expecting some bugs to come up when i start using it.

Gravatar Wow, I am so not staying on your site or reading this post with a stupid favicon like that.

Gravatar B:

With an attitude like yours, who needs you?! A person who gets annoyed with a piece of flashing favicon not even the size of a pea is most probably disturbed! Goodbye and don't come back, promise!

Gravatar my eyes are burning:

You're over reacting dude. I don't see why a favicon, less than 1/1000th the size of the whole screen will burn your eyes. You're probably one of these:

a) have the peripheral vision of a fly
b) disturbed
c) all of the above

Gravatar Your favicon is an offense to the eye. I was quite interested in your review until the rest of the page loaded and I got to experience your headache-inducing flickerfest.

Gravatar Chrome doesn't even start up on my PC...

Gravatar Holy fark your favicon.ico is annoying. I'd read your review but am getting a headache from the icon alone.

Gravatar dude:

You should try re-installing it. Something must have gone wrong in the installation process. Good luck.

Gravatar tom:

The only reason why you're getting a headache from my favicon is because your brain is probably just as big! Cut the crap and get out of here!

Gravatar hehe, umaangat po to xa serp's ah. hehe. kmusta n po traffic dito?

Gravatar download google chrome:

Thanks. He he. Pinagiinitan yung favicon ko.

Gravatar I went to the download site to give it a trial run yesterday only to find out it will only work in XP or Vista. So i suppose i will have to wait till it is released on my operating system of choice!

Gravatar jim davis:

Good luck Jim. Knowing Google and how they want to dominate cyberspace, they're probably working on it right now.

Gravatar itots:

Medyo baduy nga itsure compared to IE and Firefox pero grabe ang bilis.

Gravatar I tried it last night and it's faster than Firefox 3. It's impressive but i need to watch that video first hehe. Btw, i would like to congratulate you Dadimon sa heavy heavy traffic ng blog mo ha. The other night andito ako nagulat ako 450+ ang online! Galing! Keep up Dadimon!

Gravatar Hahahaha hayan me nainis sa favico mo Dadimon. Bakit ako naaaliw nga jan eh. hehehehe

Gravatar Ambo:

Thanks.

Gravatar Google Chrome, Good! Favicon.. baaaad! XD

Gravatar I'm using FF3, pero I've been hearing a lot of nice reviews about google chrome..
maybe I'll try it..
thanks for the info..

Gravatar jesse thompson:

Too bad you feel that way. i like my favicon and it'll stay there until I get tired of it. I agree, Chrome is good btw.

Gravatar twinks:

You should try it. I was apprehensive too until I read all the good reviews. Very fast!

Gravatar What is up with that icon flashing with all sorts of random colors?!
I could not read the article because it was nagging me too much.

Have this icon burned with fire!
http:// great.monaco.googlepages....NATOR_435f4.gif

Gravatar jonas:

I don't how a favicon that small can distract you. You're over reacting, or just plain bullying.

Gravatar in fairness super bilis kahit beta pa ha bagay sa dropping galore, lol!

Gravatar joan joyce:

Ay oo nga, pang drop! Di ko naisip yun ha. Salamat sa tip.

Gravatar GRROOVY MAN! YES, IT SOUNDS SO GOOOD. BUT, CAN YOU BEAT GOOD OLD DIE HARD IE 7? OR 8? SHOULD I SWITCH TO CHROME?
YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Gravatar georgie porgie:

You should at least try it. I was apprehensive too but when I tried it, I was converted.

Gravatar I already download and try it. Its really fast and i will keep try it always.

Gravatar tunepal:

Isn't it great? Nothing I have used has been as fast as this! Hope it stays this fast.

Gravatar sinubukan namin ang Google Chrome Browser sa vista, ayaw mag show up ng javascripts at na-displace ang ibang images. marami pang improvements and kelangan. pero ang bilis nya, at ang gaan.

Gravatar dimaks:

Di ko pa masyadong nagagamit eh. Nandun sa isang PC. Medyo takot pa ko that there are bugs in the software. And from what you just wrote, meron pa nga. Thanks for the tip.

Gravatar there are so many advantages and features with Chrome, such as it's speed, for example; now if only they would take care it's quirky cookie management...

Gravatar film fan:

That's one reasomn why I haven't used it extensively. Still too many bugs to fix in its beta stage. But Google will definitely fix them. After all, their goal is to dominate cyberspace, isn't it?

Gravatar is chrome better then internet exploroer?

Gravatar I already download and try it
