Great to hear about the release.I am sure her prayers are heard.yeah- I am with you- to Abu Sayyaf and his other bast***s- go to hell and may they get rotten in hell!
Thanks for the comment in my blog- I am sure not everyone is as mean there, like you said-I have a lot of pinoy friends and they are just the greatest. Thank God, they didn't jail my dad! One Malaysian was jailed for 24 hours for a reason not known at all. He was walking, and police took him and put him in jail- only after 24 hours, his friends got worried and checked and found out. Then, the hotel guys came and the policemen released him. what a pity for innocent tourists?

I did write a comment, where did it go? I can't see it.
hmm anyway, I was saying...great to know about the release and Abu Sayyaf and his other Bast***s should get rotten in hell for what they did!
Thanks for commenting in my blog. I regret what happened to my dad too, thank god, they didn't put him in jail. It would have been horrible otherwise.
You are a journalist? I really love your site.

This is the first time I've learned of it...from your blog, too. Just goes to show how blogs are more important than the news. Am very relieved to hear she's been freed. Can't wait to hear her stories.

thank God Drilon and her team are all fine.. I've been following the development of her case and Im glad everything turned out well.
and I thought I was the only one pissed with the "Ambitious One". I mean she was actually there sitting with Drilon and others. I was totally pissed. Wanting to grab the spotlight eh?

I'm so embarassed by all this. And to think many Filipino bloggers are promoting our country all over cyberspace. These crooks have to be stopped.

I really have every intention to write to the tourism office about this. All their marketing efforts will be for naught if this isn't stopped.

She was lucky to have walked away from this drama alive. Many journalists do not heed the police's advice about the dangers to their lives, thinking that the authorities just want to suppress their "right to cover the news and free speech". Hope they learned their lesson here.

Yup, she was there during the presscon sitting next to Ces. All smiles for the cameras as if she's fooling everyone with her "noble" motives. Ha!

There are reports that they really did though no one would admit to it. ABS CBN probably footed the bill.
Expect sister company Meralco to raise power rates to recover the cost of the ransom money anytime soon. LOL

I'm not sure if it was Abu Sayaff that kidnapped Ces Drilon, et. al. but the likelihood of ransom paid is high. The SeaAir plane carrying a lawyer with two duffel bags is a big big circumstantial evidence for that.
And yeah, out of the blue, Sen. Legarda enters the picture. heheh. It's a little too early for 2010, but hey, they need to make "pacute" early on. heheh

Dear Monaco,
I will be happy to email you all the info you need. My dad has also taken some photographs of these police officers- if you want them, I will be more than happy to send them to you too. They were scared when my dad said he's a journalist from Malaysia and that he would be writing about them. Hearing that, they took a group photo with my dad and told him to write good things.
My dad will be writing about this incident in his blog too- http://www.bdeen.blogspot.com
I will let you know once he has written exactly what happened there.
Meanwhile, I will email you the other details you'd like to have. My email add is effynn@yahoo.com
I feel it should be highlighted, yes, like you mentioned, despite the great people of Philippines and their warm hospitality, these officers are just ruining the good name of the country. If you read in the comments section in my blog, another lady complained of the same thing when her family visited manila a few years back from UK.
These rotten policemen should be taught a lesson and they should never underestimate the power of a journalist!

Yeah, there is no evidence yet that the Abus were really involved in the kidnapping. For all we know, they may be ordinary Muslims out to make a quick buck!

The authorities have now admitted that a ransom was paid, and their "negotiator" was on the take as well.

ABS CBN is what I consider a media bully in the local scene. They always want to get the exclusive, the biggest headlines, even sensationalizing ordinary news just to make a buck. Now, they got what they wanted.
