Gravatar abad:

Gravatar What a frightening experience!

Smadar

Gravatar smadar:

It really scared me. I was hyperventilating like crazy last night!

Gravatar i never ever had tried lighting a cigarette for my own consumption, and never had i regret, and never will, that i have not experienced it. my system is 100% virgin to my "own smoke". i said it my own as you really cannot get away from being a second-hand smoker. and i hate it everytime someone is smoking near me, that i would love to grab a knife and stab them. hahaha... if you were by my side when you smoked that morning, i would have done the same. LOL. just kidding. i respect other people's preference of smoking, but they should also respect and consider those people around them. good thing Davao City prohibits smoking in the public. yet sadly, i live in a neighboring city, Tagum City.

... i have read from a blog just yesterday (from a doctor-blogger) that smoking should be paired with drinking coffee...

Gravatar just get back on the wagon again. kaya mo yan! think of all the horrible effects of smoking. not to mention how expensive the stuff is!

Gravatar dr clairebear:

I have never smoked regularly in the past 3-4 years. I officially stopped in 2005 but had spurts of temptation 2-3 times a year.

My body seems to be rejecting the stuff already. this never happened before. Maybe it's now time to totally quit.

Gravatar Every time I have the occasional smoke (I haven't smoked regularly in about 4 or 5 years) my experience is always a pleasant one. I feel kinda lightheaded and.... good, ya know? Anyways, smoking IS a nasty habit. It's hard not to fall back into it.

Gravatar i have a tag for you pala kuya mon.. pakibisita nlang ng blog ko

Gravatar jillian:

It's good to get a comment from a fellow former smoker. He he. I've officially quit many years ago but what happened yesterday was a totally unplanned move, a stupid one.

Gravatar zang:

I used to love the smoking-coffee combination. It was always the perfect start to my day. However, my body seems to be rejecting the habit already.

Gravatar haha! i'll pass.

i quit cold turkey when i had kids. however, a few years back and out of depression, i lit a stick to calm down my nerves. it used to have that effect on me. anyways, i puffed once, twice, thrice then the headache hit me. i never lit another stick after that.

Gravatar mari:

Maybe that was all I needed to totally quit, just like you. Thanks Mari, it's always nice to receive encouraging comments from fellow ex-smokers.

Gravatar Quit it! Hahaha Kaya mo iyan.

Gravatar panaderos:

I will. In fact, I already have, years ago. And with this horrible experience, I will totally stay away from the stuff.

Gravatar "My body was telling me something I should not take for granted and it might lead to a far worse situation if I persist".....WTG on listening to your body and dumping the cigs. If you continued for 3 days your body would have turned off those warning signs and you wouldn't notice the negative effects so much.

Gravatar Jolynn:

Thanks Jolynn. The thought entered my mind too when I was looking back on what happened the morning after. If i had persisted, I would be puffing like crazy again today.

Gravatar smoking sucks....hehe. I never wanted to smoke for more than a year (yes, I actually gave myself a time limit) and here it is 3 years later! I don't chain smoke. I can keep a pack for two days. More if I'm not bored. And that's the weird thing; you don't derive excitement from smoking, yet I guess it passes the time. Maybe I'm just orally fixated. Oh well. At least you won't start up again, eh? You'll have that bad experience to fall back on. Hopefully you're not like "Maybe it was a fluke!" and try again, and this time go into convulsions and swallow your tongue...or anything like that

Gravatar Relapse is common among smokers but that shouldn't deter you from quitting.

By the way, better to throw the pack away than offer it somebody else.

Gravatar Relapse is common but that shouldn't stop you from quitting.

BTW, better to throw it away than give it to someone else.

Gravatar Jen:

That's the case with me as well. It was not the taste or the excitement that got me to smoking (well, at first maybe) but the lack of something to do. That's also one reason why I never had any craving for he stuff.

I'll totally quit, promise!

Gravatar zang:

Thanks. I'll check out the tag later.

Gravatar em dy:

I'll quit, definitely. What I experienced was a warning from my body that it is time to totally quit.

Gravatar Don't get tempted with cigars again..They're not really good..

Gravatar ahhh jan pala galing si mieldsiete ha peborit mo pala, never smoked but tried once when i was in highschool, you know peer pressure but i never liked the smell specially that i hated when my father is puffing everywhere at home so i decided not to na lang.

so if once decided not to anymore, don't ever dare try it again kasi ayan napala mo hehehe..

Gravatar marie:

No, I won't. That experience scared me into quitting totally.

Gravatar joanjoyce:

yup, dun galing yung "mildsiete" codename ko! Favorite ko yun dati, smoked it for 15 years.

Gravatar oops, i got the advice wrong. it's lacking a word:

.. i have read from a blog just yesterday (from a doctor-blogger) that smoking should (NOT) be paired with drinking coffee...

yun tama, with not.. buti nlang binasa ko uli

Gravatar wishing you the best courage you can muster to resist the temptation next time..

Gravatar zang:

Bakit daw? ang sarap pa naman na combination nun? is it because of the nicotine-caffeine double whammy?

Gravatar bingskee:

thanks. I know I will beat it. with all the messages of support and encouragement I got from this post alone, it is enough to assure success!

Gravatar kow yan na laang ang natitira kong bisyo bukod sa panchichix!ahehehe.hirap alisin e.kuya mon.papromote ako nare ah.bago kong blog.Using My Right Hand.nga pala ito panoorin mo.tingnan mo kung magkiquit k mgsmoke kpg nakita mo ito. video

Gravatar hehehe! send it to me prend, I am actually thinking of lighting one lol! but of course I am only having 3 to four sticks a week, I don't smoke at work.

I'm still save, at least for now lol!

Gravatar I wouldn't want to say congratulations for getting pass through the phase that made you enjoy the act itself.

Of course, this is a lesson learned. Quit while you still can.

Take care and please throw that pack away.

Gravatar itots:

May bago ka na namang blog? How do you find the time? Ilan na ba ang blog mo lahat. Laki na siguro ng kita mo!

Gravatar manilenya:

Binigay ko na sa kapatid ko. Lam mo prend, tagal na kong hindi nagyosi kaya siguro ganun ang reaction ng body ko. Saka di na ko bata kaya sumusuko na rin ang katawan ko he he.

Gravatar Julie:

I have resolved to stop totally after that experience. If I can stick to it, that's the big question mark right now.

Thanks for the concern.

Gravatar Well my experience is giving up has been like a roller coaster ride. Now that I am away from home, I have started the habit back again.Hope to see you at my site.

Gravatar sukku:

I have decided to totally stop the habit . My scary experience must have knocked some sense into my head. He he.
