I was fifteen years old and a junior in high school when this happened. It was a bit of a nasty shock for my world that was then centered on school, homework, and crushes. For me, that was what opened my eyes to what terrorism really is.

It was a horrible attack and by annually commemorating this incident annually, I hope the world will not forget that there are people out there who will keep on trying to destroy our world for their own misguided ideals. Let's be careful.
I do remember this one... I am on my class room Math class then all of the sudden commotion happened.

When you really think about it, grabe siguro ang pinagdaanan nung mga victims bago sila namatay. The heat, the suffering, tapos yung collapse pa nung building. Grabe talaga.

The horror of the incident still haunts me, especially after seeing actual footage of the terrorism from the personal videos posted here. There are also videos of the people who jumped, but I didn't post them anymore.
I was a sophmore in high school about a hour away from New York and a hour away from the rest of the plane crashes. I was walking to homeroom when I saw people in class rooms watching t.v. and I knew channel one wasn't on yet and I certainly wasn't late they must've forgot to ring the bell because nobody was in the hallways either I stopped at my spanish teachers room and the camera man was circling around the twin towers then I saw there had been some sort of fire all the way at the top of the one tower, then my teacher said they crashed a plane into the tower I immediately prayed to myself that everyone would be ok and at the same time who would be that stupid to fly that low? I ran into my homeroom and asked the teacher to turn on the t.v. and she told refused I threw a fit of course and went back to the other classroom kids were just staring at the t.v. I've never seen anything like what happened on that day everyone was quite nobody was talking we were all just praying together that everyone would be okay. Then a plane came from aside the building and I almost fell to my knees I could'nt believe it that was no accident that was completely intentional he aimed right for it. Time stood still for awhile and then the tower began to sway and that was a normal thing on a windy day but the structure had just been knocked down as far as physics was concerned and I said to myself "It's going to fall" I said It louder and louder almost like they could hear me. Once I seen the top of the tower start to burn faster inwards I could'nt look I turned away because I just didn't want to put myself in a position to know what was going to happen next. My ma picked me up from school and I remember just looking out the window I saw helicopters and air transportation flying in New York's direction and I couldn't help but to stare until they were completely out of my sight. The next couple of weeks... smoke filled the sky, more and more people were turning up dead and alive. I remember asking my teacher if it was suppose to rain because it had been cloudy for days. I recently watched the video footage from the newyorkers and I can't help but to cry and get angry. I can't believe that we let them slip so far into their own world they just didn't realize that they should be helping eachother. I think the worst for the people in the planes and above the actual hit site because they had to hope for a hero that never came and Im sure the plot gets much thicker but we will never know because people were so scared to think. I was angry at the people just standing on the street watching... and they are usually the big complainers. People who were told to go into the building and "save as many as you can"
FUCK YOU ALL, THIS FUCKED UP COUNTRY DESERVED IT, AND YES I AM AN AMERICAN.
