There are 1 or 2 more just like it. They are just slightly smaller than the real EC widgets, but if you're in a hurry it's hard to tell. I think it can ruin a good EC relationship and I certainly wouldn't place one of those on my site.
hi! Yup, last 2 days, the fake entrecard alike ads appear on my project wonderful ads. Well, the simply cheated because i taught someone hacked into my blog...
the ads is still a little bit different, yup the size is 125*125 while entrecard isn't. if experienced dropper who are able drop until 300 i think they realise this little tiny difference.

I am glad I am not the only one who fell victim to this one. I got a couple times yesterday and couldn't figure out what was going on.

Oh ya have I seen this and I was totally pissed off just like you. There is also another one I learned the card for to not click because it doesn't even have a widget on that site. It stops there. I think that's wrong too.
I have seen a few like that one... one is even an Entrecard member.
So tacky.
I do and it's annoying, i banned that site to advertise in my Project Wonderful. I think that is why it's less and less now...probably many bloggers banned he site too.

had it on my blog before but chose to cancel his/her bid and sent him a message that it is prohibited by graham but still he/she continues to use that ad.
Anything like EC widget cannot be used in Project Wonderful.
Glad you made a post about it. I also made a similar post and even send an email to EC blog and made a forum post.
According to a reply to my forum post, the ad owner is willing to change his logo.

I noticed this guy in Project Wonderful when he tried to buy ad space, and like you, I banned him.
My reasoning for this is that he is depreciating the value of my entrecard.
By asking to place his false card on my site, he is asking me, the site owner, to defraud my visitors.

I've seen those two other ads you're referring to. I'll see if I can ask their host sites to ban them the next time I chance upon those ads.

I haven't seen any of these ads after I made this post. two other blogs I encountered made a similar article warning other bloggers. I guess he got banned already.

Haven't seen this ad since this article and other similar blogs were posted. i think he got the message, and I think he got banned pretty quick. he he.
well some people still dont understand just the way to advertize.
thats why they may get the number of visitors they want but actually they just make minimum profit from it.
i almost clicked it. maybe because we're just in a hurry to drop cards and click the first 'drop' sign that appears on a page. maybe it's just his desperate way of gaining traffic.

you're right. but why don't they just do it the legit way. entrecard membership is free and very easy to join. if it's entrecard traffic he wants, then just join the group.

he was quite clever in purchasing those ad spots. he chose the ones above entrecard widgets so that droppers in a hurry would mistakenly click his ad.
hahaha. this post just reminded me of the same crime i committed to Entrecard. i also did the same, but not for long when entrecard authorities messaged me and told me that it is not allowed.
