Zune freezing? Looks like the work of a disgruntled employee. I am surprised company as big as Microsoft doesn't require someone to verify software check-in to the sandbox before it's used officially. IBM always requires a co-worker verify any software change to prevent malicious software being embedded in official releases.

It happened to me when I turned it on, and by far this solution (resetting the battery) was the best. I did this, it was very easy and resolved the problem.
thank you

Thanks for the info tip. I tried it and it works. Recommended for other zune users who have same problem. It happened to me yesterday evening and i'm glad i found this site. We have no service center here in the Philippines.

Wow,
there is something REALLY going wrong. I experienced the same problem 2 days ago and tried really everything. I completely disassembled my zune, discharged the battery pack and resetet the device a couple of times. At the end the only working solution was resetting the device AND PRESSING BACK + OK + RIGHT CONTROL PAD during the boot process.Well, it deletes all content, but this was the only solution for me.

my zune scrolls and clicks VERY slowly. it's almost like it is frozen, but it isn't really. it works fine once i get where i want to go, but it takes forever just to get to a certain song or playlist. is anyone else having this problem? what can i do to fix it?
