We finally got some rain today and yesterday, relieving the drought of nearly two years a tiny bit and keeping the high below 100 for the first time in two weeks. It'll be that hot again in a day or two, however.
On a completely unrelated note, I bought some new cookware. It's Tramontina 3 - ply, the same construction as All Clad but about a fifth of the price. Great stuff, too, even if Walmart does sell it. You can order directly from the their website if Wally World gives you the hives, too. Before this, my only 3 quart saucepan was a Le Creuset housewarming give that, while wonderful, weighed as much as an adult brahma bull when it had anything in it, and wasn't just real practical for, say, heating canned soup. It's nice to be able to cook without setting a tripod and winch over the stove.

We have had the opposite problem up north. The rain -- it doesn't stop! Sun? What's that? We've heard about it...
