Wow! Jerry always tried to stay out of electoral politics and Bobby was a registered republican last time I looked. Wish I could be there for the fun.
I never imagined it, either.
I feel a bit goofy for saying it, but this is having a bit of an effect on my decision-making for Tuesday. The Boys' NPOs are all excellent organizations, and I support them whenever I can.
I'm actively holding back on any Primary politics here, and I'm not thrilled by the lack of choice this early in the process. The only three people that I would have gotten excited about supporting are out of the running. These two? to me, it comes down to "Who will be able to erase the most and the worst of the Bush taint, and do the least harm in the process."

In all of the shows and benefits I ever attended starring The Boys I have never heard them say anything remotely sounding like an endorsement. This is a new development. I have always thought if they had endorsed Kerry last time all of the Deadheads would have voted and things would be different.
Maybe they thought this way this time as well.
Or maybe Bobby became more than an Estimated Prophet.

I'm sooooooo sorry I'm not going to be even near San Fran tomorrow night, but (agreeing with MF) this is making me rethink my Obama opinion. I mean, if The Boys think he's worth breaking their norm, who am I to raise objections?
Deadheads unite. Oh wait, that's not possible - it's against type. But maybe in this matter of national emergency?
