Haven't heard any more on the condition of Walter Cronkite but, with the spate of celeb deaths lately, his time isn't long on this mortal coil.

Shit, if Walter could be cloned... No, this isn't a time for that shit, we need real people to take the mantel from him. There has to be a real change in the Media and real soon. We need our own Cronkites and Murrows. We, the progressive blogforce, have to dial up the pressure on the Networks to feature the likes of David Neiwert, Glenn Greenwald, and Josh Marshall.
But first we need to ramp it up to get them to kick some of those conservative barnacles off our TV.

They actually had a deal about the SCOTUS and that crazy church that demonstrates at soldiers funerals, that went to talking heads, and they led off with "if you want to protest don't ask don't tell, a funeral is not the place to do it", which was about the ultimate WTF moment. They are the most delusional bastards in the world.
