I can't look at that woman without thinking of Reese Witherspoon's character in "Election". Seriously.
As for the youth sports....sigh....I can't voice my opinion on that in less that 100 words. Suffice it to say that I'm glad we didn't do the soccer travel team this year, after hearing the horror stories from the parents on the team my son would have been on.

I actually find it sad that so many youth sport programs are so intense nowadays. It is really sad that our kids are being pushed to "specialize" at a young age, or they won't be good enough for high school sports, later.
I'll have to think about what we'll enroll Little Dude in, once he gets a wee bit older.

Wait, nobody want to see McCain in a bikini? Why that's ... that's ... reverse sexism. Or something.

Congrats to Adam on the goal!
I'm sad to see such intensity in sports today as well.

I agree--intense training starts so early these days...in sports, in music, and in school. Sometimes it's just too much!

I agree as well to not over-doing it on the extra-curricular activities - any type. Our kids cherish their free choice time. One sport allows for us to manage the practices and still have time for other things. I think our son will spend more time in sports, but I can't get too worked up about ruining his chances to compete later on.
Sarah Palin is downright scary. Get out the vote!
