The main sense I got of it was "they got bucketloads of money and I didn't" couple with "I bet I could do shows that cool if I had bucketloads of money," but this is mainly untrue.
Odyssey is an awesome album. Does everybody hate them or just Blender?
CD-wise, I mean. Hell if I know about all y'all NYC hipster hellcats are about with them live art shows and coke parties or whatever, ya know?
Oh, for the glory days of electroclash bachanaals. Paying for my own drinks! Trying to get the drummer to wear headphones! Having your keyboardist moonlighting as a set dresser for Fischerspooner! Making snarky comments about WIT! Having "Should we maybe have vocals with a melody?" be a valid question to ask!
I look forward to 2020 when I can complain about how all the electroclash revivalists don't have any respect for history or an understanding the scene, and name-dropping people like the Mazing Vids.
i dunno, maybe it is just blender. i like odyssey a lot. the boredoms cover is bananas!!
I was under the impression that Odyssey got largely favorable reviews. Oh so Blender did not like it? Big deal. They love KORN for godsake or heaven forbid Good Charlotte! FS is going for broke. I love their premise of why does popular have to be bad?
