OMG! They made her BLEED?! Did anyone apologize to you about that? OMFG! That's inexcusable!!! Is this a pediatric dentist? I'm just still aghast that they would traumatize her like that. 
I'm so sorry for both of you. My E'beth had to be sedated for the work done on her teeth. She had 12 cavities and the dentist had MISSED THEM on xrays when they were small. Hell, he missed FOUR of them when he said, "She has 8 cavities and needs a pediatric dentist." The ped dentist looked at the SAME xrays and said, "No, she has TWELVE cavities and we need to do this in the OR." She had to have four "baby" root canals, eight crowns and four fillings. I was the HEIGHT of pissed and now, obviously, recommend people AVOID our first dentist. Totally pissed me off. But, at least no one ever HURT her like that dentist office did Brooke! That's friggin' insane, girl!!!
What?! Oh HELL to the NO. I'd be stopping them mid-procedure and telling them that they are hurting her and that they need to chill the F* out. I may not say anything when it's me, but I definitely do when it's my kiddo.
If you weren't able to stop them at the time, I really hope you voiced your displeasure afterward. Loudly. 
I HATE those stupid pediatric dentists. I have my own screwed up stories about them, but yours if freakin hilarious....but I'm laughing out of love, because I KNOW how hard that is. (HUGS) to you, girl. Hope the next visit is better. I'm taking Ava in for her "baby root canal" on Wednesday. It's bullshit but I dont have any other real option at this point. ugh!
