Morty,
I've been beating up on blogs in my newsletter for about a year now and I, too, have added one to my site. In my opinion, "blog" is just another word for "website" -- one that is hopefully updated more frequently. Like gopher servers, I suspect we won't hear the term "blog" much in 4 or 5 years (they'll be completely absorbed into web browsers).
Why are blogs doomed?
1. Blog Spam
2. Time Commitments
3. Low Signal to Noise Ratio
They're like Usenet newsgroups, only slower and less interactive. You remember Usenet newsgroups, don't you? Does anyone remember Usenet?
Best Wishes,

Touché!
I am humbled and honored by the challenge. I started to answer here, but I got claustrophobia from the little comment box. Then I remembered... Hey! It's MY blog! I have the keys... and I decided to go in through the front door. So please go to today's post "To blog or not to blog... Is that the question?"
