Morty, thanks for the blog link. Yes, it is very possible to be a marketing pro, even a copywriter, and still come on the side of ethics. In my own copywriting, I've been known to turn down work because either I had ethical problems with the product, the company, or the approach I was asked to take. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I have never been sorry that I followed my conscience. It actually seems to lead to a thicker wallet, in spite of "logic." |
