Wordrider (Mordechai "Morty" Schiller)

Morty, thanks for bringing up my viewpoint (though of course I was by no means the first).

However, the rumors of the death of discussion groups have been greatly exaggerated. The climate is changing--it's important to moderate membership requests, these days, for instance, so as not to be spammed to death. But the medium continues to flourish. However, I've begun to have my doubts about the utility of e-zines as we used to know and love them. I know I am much less likely to read the ones that cross my desk than I used to be, but I still make space in my day for the most important discussion groups.

Shel, So I should not be flogged for neglecting my ezine and only paying attention to the "new baby" (my blog)?

Hey, Morty--whatever works and is enjoyable. Wonderful thing about Cyberspace is there is no One True Way.

As it happens, tonight I'm working on tomorrow's issues of the two newsletters I've been publishing monthly since 1997: Frugal Marketing Tips and Frugal Fun Tips ( http://www.frugalmarketing.com/ m...etingtips.shtml and http://www.frugalfun.com/ frugalf...galfuntips.html , respectively
