The pink template had more images to load. This one is called minima for a reason: fewer images mean quicker load time.

i'm really not big into blog aesthetics (although leora did do a great job). but one thing i'll tell you is that as a male reader i'm thankful you got rid of the pink background. it was really embarassing to be seen in public looking at a website with a pink background. people jump to all sorts of conclusions.
