It looks delicious!! I love cakes with 'vegetables': I like potato and beetroot as well as carrot. This one looks extra scrummy with the lime too!!!
Well Bells, I will take your word for it but my maths say zucchinis + cake = disaster in the making. Although it does look quite nice. I'll just come visit you one day and have a slice. LOL
I've often looked at this recipe and thought it just doesn't sound right - zucchini & cake??

I remember buying a loaf time many moons ago which came with a free zucchini loaf recipe. It was delicious - pecans, dates and zucchini in the loveliest cinnamon and nutmeg batter. I lost the recipe, but I would love to find it again. or make nigella's. Where do you live again? I could do with a slice right now!! Ha ha.

Oh, yummy! Zucchini cakes are pretty big here, but I hadn't seen one combined with a lime curd before. Sounds like a great combo! (Glad you guys are baking again, btw!)
Yum! Now I want to make one too! Am also v. impressed you made the lime curd. I made lemon curd ages ago and I seem to think it took me forever! Maybe that was the whole sterilising the bottles palaver.
Do think you should have added green food colouring to the filling and icing though...(heh!)
I was tempted by the food colouring idea, but decided not to. Wanted it natural!

Oooh yum. My mum has an American Zucchini Bread (cake really) recipe which is nice, but had tons of vegetable oil in it - your one looks MUCH yummier!
I have been thinking of making this cake for a very long time, I actually made the lime curd with the sole intention of making the cake but I never got round to it so I just ate the curd on crusty bread! I have made many of nigella recipes and HTBDG is of of my very favourite books, and reading your blog has inspired me so I will definitely make this cake now! 
I made this last week and it went down a storm. Really moist and yummy. I made lemon curd as I didn't have any limes but I don't think it suffered at all for it.
doesn't sound dodgy at all. I used to work in a deli that sold carrot cakes and zucchini & pineapple cakes. Yummo!
Hoping mine turns out as well as this! Have linked to this from the blog today for people to get an impartial view before committing to try veg in cake!
