Perhaps God uses a numbering system known only to Him.
My question to God is this: If Hair A grows out of Follicle A and then falls out, what number is the new hair that grows out of Follicle A? Is it A.2? Assuming that the first Hair A is A.1.
And does He include our eyebrows, eyelashes, nostril hair, ear hair, and facial hair too?
If so, there would have to be at least 6 decimal numbering systems: S=scalp; EB=eyebrows; EL=eyelashes; N=nostril; ER=ears; F=facial.
The Facial hair category could be further subdivided into FT=facial (terminal) for darker facial hair such as that which is seen in beards, and FD=facial (downy) for lighter facial hair.
(BTW 'facial' starts looking very strange after typing it a few times. Why is that?)
My second question to God would be this - Aren't the rest of the hairs on the body important enough to be counted?
My other thought is that perhaps the word 'numbered' is used in the sense of being 'limited' or 'finite'. i.e. our days are numbered. In which case, we can all expect to go bald at some time in the future.
