I have a vague recollection of Deano mentioning something about Jesus voluntarily choosing not to know certain things while he was on earth, but that was quite a while ago now (both Jesus on earth in bodily form, and first year of college)...

It makes sense to me that just as superman withholds his powers for the sake of normality, as does Jesus for the sake of knowing humanity. This does not diminish the Godhead's ability to sustain the universe. Rather the begotten part of the trinity dwelling as a human is still sustaining the universe as part of the Godhead.
