Gravatar Rev.Frost - i have no idea!!!
What are you talking about?

Gravatar Ha! This post turned out great, Sebastian! What a fun read and fun idea. Again, thanks for letting me participate!

Gravatar really wonderful writings.....just excuse me if I was a bit "Cicciolina addicted /pornographic", I wrote it in hurry,...we just hope the Cardinale Ratzinger dont read it: ) (haha):

Gravatar I've been traveling, so my vinyl is currently unsniffable. I will file a report to you when I return home.

Gravatar Okay, I was too lazy to respond.

But the story would be like this: I used to work on a nursery farm where we would get truckloads of black vinyl pots (we'd later put trees n' stuff in them). We'd unload those pots and get very familiar with the chemical smell.

At the same time I began work at WIDR, a noncommercial freeform variety station. The record room was huge. The smell -- that same vinyl smell of the pot trucks, with added smell of old cardboard, dust, grubby hands of college students going back to 1974, and all the myriad smells of a college radio station.

It's a smell that has a very personal meaning to me, including hard labor (the plant farm) and insane musical freedom (the station).

Gravatar All I can say is... No one's ever gonna smell an MP3!

Gravatar That "the Orchestre Arthur Iriti " sounds incredible, is there any way you could put the album up on rapidshare or something??

Love the site!

Gravatar This was great fun. If you have any such ideas and inspirations again, count me in.

@devin: The Iriti album may eventually find its way online, as I myself became quite curious to listen to it again, but this will take a little time. For the impatient, there's been a CD rerelease and you can listen to a track of it @Amazon.
