Thank God I went to Art School where none of those clubs existed.
You would have fit in with us.

Um yeah, so your last post got me thinking more about Facebook and how much people worship it. I figured I hadn't given it a fair chance. So last night I started adding friends. Now? I'm hooked.
And I totally blame you ;)
p.s. I was in a sorority. Time spent there were the unhappiest years of my life.

Hey, I got news for you. I was in a sorority. It was fun but honestly, it's not all it's cracked up to be. I only keep in touch with one friend from the whole place. I am closer to my friends from High School than from my friends in College. Sad. I did meet my hubby in College but he was not in a fraternity. So, I guess my point is.....whether you're in or out is such a small part of the big picture.

I'm de-lurking! Hello!
I know sororities have earned the stereotypes, but I always feel compelled to defend them (at least mine!). Just a wee bit. I found three of my bridesmaids in my sorority and they are the most incredible friends. My experience was better than most. And, honestly, I can only go off that experience. But I've heard enough crappy contrary stories to realize how lucky I was.
I enjoy your blog immensely :)

I was way too much of a rebel to be in a sorority! Actually, during the time I should have been starting college, I was busy sporting a mohawk and slam dancing to great punk rock music!
I did eventually go to college, but never wanted to join a sorority.

Ironic. I was a Gamma Delta Iota (Gosh Darn Independent) for a while, then joined a group of music students that also had a Greek name. Those "sisters" are still my friends. However, we didn't need to go through any kind of initiation or high-pressure brainwashing before joining.

Remember Notting Hill? I miss THAT Hugh Grant. Old man pervy Hugh Grant is not so fun!
And yes, I am so tempted to go find these pics on Facebook. GAHHHH.

Oh Hugh, what's happened to you. I used to (who am I kidding? I still do) love Hugh, but these pictures! Dear God, what was he thinking?
And I agree with your assessment of sororities and fraternities. Retch.
