Gravatar It wouldn't be possible for me to fall in love with someone from online because I am too suspicious. LOL.

But I love stories like this. I love hearing that people fall so deeply in love that they feel they want to be married instantly. I believe that people are meant to have that connection and feel so passionate about each other.

My rationale side says that my concern would be for her daughter. Is it too much of a change for a young girl? Does her daughter think that loves happens this quickly always? Does this make her daughter less cautious about online strangers?

But then again maybe her daughter learned that love be felt deeply and passionately. And seeing her Mom happy is important too.

Gravatar I totally get this. Im happy for your friend, and I do think you can fall in love with someone you meet online. I dont think I would have rushed to get married the first time I met the guy...but Im happy for her. I would worry about her daughter though.

Gravatar I don't think I'd be able to fall in love with someone online, but I know it happens! Good for her. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut. It sounds like, in this case, love might have been a little unexpected. But crazier things have happened, and families come together in all different ways. I hope they're very happy in their new life together!

Gravatar Ok...this sounds even a little too risky for me...WHAT IS SHE THINKING? How the heck can you "know" someone just by IM for months? Does she not read the papers or tune into the news? My first concern is about her daughter...Gosh, I hope this guys is not some psycho perp using her to get into this country to take advantage of her and her daughter...All my blessings to Cape Girl, her daughter, and her new husband!!! She will need it...

Gravatar Wow, that's the most risky-romantic thing I've ever heard of! Good for her for finding love... I'd be a supportive friend too.
I wouldn't do it myself (too suspicious), but I believe love can come in the most unconventional ways to those open to it.
Many congrats to your friend! :)

xo

Gravatar oh wow! That is crazy! Does she seem happy? Good for her.

Gravatar oh wow. That's... intense. And a little crazy. But who are we to judge? I don't think I could fall in love on the web, but I have made some great friends through the Internet so... never say never.

Gravatar Wow..so they'd only IMed and never met? Had they even seen photos of each other before they met? How did she know this was the same guy from the IMs?

It just goes to show you, truth is often stranger than fiction. But I wish them lots of happiness! These things often can and do work out against all odds.

Gravatar Wow. Sounds a bit crazy. I've had some crazy romances, but that's wild. Good luck to her. I hope she really knows him well enough... and even more wishes to her daughter!!! Wow.

Gravatar She sent me pics today and they looked happy

Gravatar Have I fallen in love online? Yep. Started Im-ing in Feb.'98, met on June 2, '98, got engaged June 25 '98, married November 7, '98 and will celebrate our 10th anniversary this coming November. Yeah, falling in love online is totally possible!

Gravatar That is frickin' bonkers.
