In addition the US exports 25,841,320 tons of coal per year. Think about all the money that generates and the way it reduces our trade deficit, not to mention the fact that by exporting coal we gain influence. On top of that 49% of the US power grid is coal generated.
Dear God, it is the beginning of the end. These asshats who think that going green is a global warming cure, and a glorious, patriotic thing to do, have sold our souls down the river and we will see a great CHANGE when the One is in office. This is the start of it, and he will only make it worse. Thank you democrats and liberals all, for giving us this president.

I've said this multiple times since the November election: how could someone clearly announce he would put coal out of business, at a time when its coming back and stimulating the worst areas of PA's economy, and WIN by such a landslide here? The leaders of the PA Republican Party MUST GO after letting this happen.
At least we're spared listening to Obama brag on the campaign trail that he was from a coal state. He made promises in 2004 that he would help downstate Illinois' moribund coal industry.
He did NOTHING for them.
And he will do NOTHING as president, John.
