JMHO, but you need to get over the self-promtion phobia.

Consider it your DUTY to share your work with people who could get a chuckle from it and brighten their day, the people who might learn something from you and so forth.

You're a great writer and a great thinker and damnit, people like you!

Seriously, what you add to the quality of discourse is in direct proportion to how many people read you.

Hey there, Sharky.

I appreciate the vote of confidence. I understand what you're saying, completely. And, I'm working on it. It's just hard for me to tell when I've done something worth promoting. What makes it difficult for me is that I have to put a certain amount of distance between myself and the finished product to be able to tell when I've done good work. Everything reads like crap to me immediately after I've written it. It's only when I go back after some time has passed that I can objectively look at it and say, "You know, that wasn't half bad."

But, I am working on it. Honest.
