As for the predicament: I once heard it said that being an adult means sacrificing what you want to do for security. I can understand that your job can be kind of consuming (but it is fucking awesome, I can't deny) but you really should take some time to get your brain away from it a little. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy (even if his work's wicked).
Don't trick yourself into thinking that you need to complete devote every inch of your being to the relationship. If anything, it's probably better to have other priorities - it keeps the girl from goddess status, which is healthier for the relationship.
