If you seriously need or want some coffee, let me know. It's one of my hobbies, and I've always got extra laying about.
Good luck to you.

I learned to drink coffee with cream 'n' sweetener, and it's the only way I can drink it. Black coffee doesn't taste as good as it smells! And nothing tastes as good as freshly ground coffee beans smell
Also, one of my favorite snacks is dark chocolate covered espresso beans ... Yummm.

When I was a young sailor at sea I used to wonder why I couldn't sleep after a hard 18 hour day of humping ammo, scraping cable, running liberty boats and loading stores.
I finally figured out that 20-30 cups of strong black Navy coffee might have something to do with it.
I cut down to 10 cups and slept like a baby.

Coffee is the beverage of the gods.
When Cortez finally reached the land of the Incas, he saw goats eating some little berries and then becoming quite lively. He brought the beans back to Spain, gave it to the queen and they sold the stuff to a couple of geeks from Seattle who started Starbucks.
Nothin' like revisionist history...
And to answer your question in your profile: No. I seem to recall another soldier who hailed from your end of things, IKE.
Good luck to you and your men from back home.

That's a good boy. Drink UP!
[Yeah, I agree: Folgers™ sucks, but I got paid well for doing their commercials. Just business]
Mate' Tea. Request it in a care package...?? [especially a Chai' Mate' blend YOWZA!....No caffeine jim jams from the stuff, but some good energy and it balances out sleep cycles, believe it or not.
Yeah, chocolate covered coffee beans will keep your eyes from blinking for several hours...and they cure itching teeth, too. (~

Duuh! And thank you MOST sincerely for your service and bravery.
All troops are studs (and studettes)--- desk *jockeys*, toilet cleaners, gun toting..et al.
God BLESS you and get you back safe to a whole mess o' well earned hugs, doting over you, friends, good times...and PLEASE make yourself further useful in the states and be a thorn in the side of the LameStream, MemeScream Media who just can't manage to fit in any air time for the GOOD news out of Iraq and Afghanistan....buttheads! (~
If you like fur people---I would also recommend a dog or two. They're ALWAYS elated to see you...even if you're gone for 30 seconds...(~ I've never had one lie to me or talk smack about me either....just try to hog the bed!

Try choco-covered espresso beans washed down with diet Coke. Did that once when I was landing at 11pm and had a 3-hour drive home. No blinking, but a serious headache the next day!

When I was an abused adjutant, on field exercises I used to drink a lot of International Foods flavored coffee. Typically, I'd take my slightly-dirty canteen cup, shovel four teaspoons of Irish Cream or Cafe Francais (this was way back before the frogs shafted us) and then fill the cup with......
Coffee!
ZoooooOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!

How come I have never met an Adjutant that wasn't abused.
Talk about the king of all thankless jobs. I am sure you needed the Zooooom!

Please be careful with stimulants like coffee, it messes with the sleep cycle and can deprive you of the alert edge during the day when you need it most.
