Saw "Serenity" a couple of weeks ago. My review will be out on Tuesday.
Even if you never saw Firefly you can figure out and enjoy the film. Fans of Whedon's work will find the material and quality they expect. Moviegoers not familiar with the writer/director should be pleasently surprised.
Thankfully Fox has nothing to do with Serenity. Universal took a chance. I hope it pays off for them.
(BTW, Whedon's next project is writing/directing a feature film version of Wonder Woman.)

Yeah I agree with KCNK. My husband is pretty talanted in many aspects of life and things even if I say so myself. I lived with him for 35 years so I know him just a little bit and most of it is good. Mustang Sarg don't get a swell head.

I'm not sure why the comments on my blog wouldn't work. When Mustang gets settled stateside, I'll have to ask him how to use this type of comment section instead of the built-in ones. I changed a couple of settings yesterday or Sunday & they seem to be working now. And I don't know if I'll keep you quite as busy as Mustang has; I'm not sure how frequently I'll be updating. It is rather addictive, though!
I love Joss Whedon's shows, although I never watched Firefly (didn't avoid it, just missed it). I still miss BTVS and Angel - and I'm looking forward to Serenity. Of course, just like the TV shows, I'll have to go watch by myself, since the Hubby doesn't get into that genre.
Serenity was great, I paid to see a second time over the weekend.
