It helps to remember that welcome home celebrations are for the people left behind. You are already glad to be home.
Thanks and take care.

Well, I'm glad you're back home, now go mow the lawn or wash the car...
That should help put you to feeling normal again.

Welcome back! My personal take on the coughing, is because of the time you spend Q-waiting, everytime I go there, I end up coughing for a month. If you are ever in the San Diego area, drop me a line and I'll throw a milblog meet in your honor.

I'd never thought of the clean air thing. Perhaps it's like quitting smoking and will only last a short time (the coughing up crap stage).
Perhaps to get over the feeling of 'welcome home' and get back to the feeling of being home you could do some completely boring labor like dusting, vacuuming and laundry. Nothing else will make you feel you are back to normal life than doing the everyday stuff enough that you are sick of it instead of excited by the novelty...lol.
Have a good one!

Welcome back Sir! You should appreciate the welcome home parties though considering what happened in Vietnam and even today from much of the left- at least there are still millions who want to support our fighting forces. Of course next week the Redskins have to beat the Chiefs

I bet you can't wait to see your girlfriend. Are you over not being invited to the wedding yet? He he he. We are so glad you are on your way to be normal again. That is as normal as can be for you. Take care and we will see you later.

So I finally figure out that you made it home, congrats.
Meanwhile I've been trying to track you down, turns out I just missed ya.
Well glad to see you made it home safely cuz. Have fun tomorrow and tell everyone I say hello.
Oh ya, since you aren't in hell anymore, you might want to change your location back to home on your profile.
Love ya and i'm glad you are home safely

The last time my spouse came home from the sandbox he spent about three months coughing and feeling like he had a cold. Darn that clean air!
Glad you had a safe journey home.

I won't say "Welcome Home" because I know that you are probably just ready to settle down and get on with your life again.
I hope you stop coughing soon - and get used to the 'good life' again. My hubby and I have 10 weeks of deployment left - it feels like it will never get here.
Just wanted to say how proud I am of you and your unit for the job that they did in the Sand.
