I sm nto really into football and I am petrified by the idea that one of my kids will actually get into team sports. When I was pregnant with Q, my youngest brother teased me about him being a football star what with all the Dutch exports players and all. I told him I am not going to let my son's pretty feet be crushed by the like of Kakas and ronaldos of the world.
He was flabbergasted, "WHAT??? You don't want your son to be the new David Beckham?"
No, I told him, Roger Federer, tiger Wood maybe but not to footie, Hockey or any other team sports.
