somewhere there are hard science people working hard on archaeology, geology etc to figure this stuff out...and then we have the soft science folks who make asses of themselves with ridiculous, theoretical BS. Your call as to whose science to focus on.

Darwinian theory is still the prevalent paradigm among biologists even though it is BS. That's why I focus on it. Its degenerate epistemic standards and the like are softening biology, dissolving bits of what could be more limited forms of hard scientia/knowledge into the soft art of storytelling. That form of art is then being passed of as "scientific theory" or "scientific fact," thus its fairytales.

My comment certainly is not as relevant to this post as are those statements which, here, have already been recorded. This fact notwithstanding, I shall give this tangential thought.
The Greek mythos tells us that the power of Kronos was usurped by his son Zeus, the "king of the gods."
I find an interesting parallelism in that.

If you're interested in such things here's an interesting creationist interpretation of the Greek mythos and its apparent corruptions away from an original Jewish/Christian mythos.
